Description

The state of the match

The State_of_Match Scenario comprises frames with LUs used to characterise the current state of a match from a general point of view. The most important information in this respect is what the current score is, which team (team with ball) is currently in possession of the ball, what tactics the two teams are using, which team is the dominating team, which the dominated team and what the spectators are doing.

The score

The current score is the account of how many goals each team has scored. The current margin is the amount by which these two numbers differ. If the margin is greater than zero, the team with more goals is the leader, the team with fewer goals the trailer. LUs for referring to the score from a neutral perspective are in the frame Score. LUs for referring to the score from the leader's perspective are in the frame Lead. LUs for referring to the score from the trailer's perspective are in the frame Trail.

Possession

The player which currently controls the ball is the player with ball, his team is team with ball. The frame Possession contains LUs for describing which team or player is currently in possession of the ball.

Tactics and Match Quality

LUs for describing which general strategy the two teams are using are in the frame Tactics. The frame Match_Quality contains LUs for characterising general properties of a match at a given point in time.

Spectators' activity

The frame Spectators_Activity contains LUs for describing what the spectators are doing.
